I love using bright and bold lipsticks but also have to make sure that my lips stay hydrated and moisturised so that the lipsticks stay in place for long. One of the most important steps before the application of lipsticks is moisturising them well. For the same reason, I make sure that I wear a lip balm all throughout the day even when I am not wearing any lipstick. Chapped and dehydrated lips are just not my thing since it makes me feel uncomfortable. Nykaa Cosmetics recently launched the Nykaa Serial Kisser Lip Balm and I was excited to try them out.

So, the Nykaa Serial Kisser Lip Balm comes in 8 different fruity flavours and have fragrances accordingly. These flavours include:

  1. Pinacolada
  2. Blueberry
  3. Strawberry
  4. Green apple
  5. Raspberry
  6. Grape
  7. Peach
  8. Pomegranate

I have with me the green apple and grape variant and have been loving them ever since I got my hands on them. They are coloured themselves according to the fruit flavour but are not tinted, which is a thing I like. I am not a big fan of tinted lip balms, so these make me use them quite often.

Packaging- The packaging is very much similar to the usual bullet lipsticks. You have to open the cap and twist the lip balm for the application. It doesn’t look very classy though, but that doesn’t bother me much. Nykaa Serial Kisser Lip Balms are colour coded according to the fruit flavours so in case you own more than one, you can easily figure out from the colours as to what flavour would it be.

Formula- The formula of these lip balms is moisturising on the lips and makes for the perfect every day usage. It keeps my lips moisturised for a really long time which eliminates the need of reapplying it every few hours. Also, it is not glossy, so I like to apply it beneath my lipstick as well and it doesn’t affect the formula of the lipstick.

Nykaa Serial Kisser Lip Balms retail for ₹149 each for 4.5 g of the product and I think it is quite affordable for everyday use. The price is quite competitive with the other lip balms in the market but if you’re looking for something that is not tinted and keeps your lips moisturised for a long time, I would recommend these.

These are also travel friendly and I make sure to carry either one with me wherever I go. You also get so many different fragrances and flavours to choose from. Overall these are great to use if you have dry, dehydrated and chapped lips and are looking forward to keeping them moisturised for long.
