There are two bronzing palettes with ‘liberté, egalité and femininité’ as a play on ‘fraternité’ for the last word – it’s the national motto of France – both outside and in. I have one of the three lipsticks here – Idole – in a matte finish.
The bronze palette above is 02 Warm Sensualité and will suit deeper skin tones or tones already with a tan. It’s not, in my view, suitable for very deep skin tones so it feels as though there is one missing and the finish is lightly shimmered.
This is 01 Light Liberté – despite the deep tone bar, it’s most suited to light and cool tones. I haven’t taken pictures of the swatches as these are best used with a big brush swept over all four bars and then straight to the face. It’s subtle so doesn’t really show well on a swatch at all but obviously you can build to any intensity you like at whichever points suit you best.
The three lipsticks are existing shades, re-dressed for this collection, in the L’Absolu Rouge formula. The other shades are Caprice Creme and Poeme.
While I can see that this collection is more likely to be a hit in France than here, I love it for it’s elegance and vibrancy and it seems appropriate if you’re heading off to France over the summer. The lipsticks are £27 each and the palettes, £42 HERE, non affiliate HERE.
