Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint Collection

Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint Collection

I know down here in the south we exist in a weather bubble and don’t often get the bone-chilling temperatures of the north. I was brought up in Scotland and spent a childhood with ice on the inside of the bedroom windows in deepest winter and if I never experience that again in my life, I’ll be very happy! To be honest, these Bobbi Extras are just as good in summer even though they’re intended as a winter protective balm that’s a more luxury version of your regular balms. They have a light tint, too, and three new tint shades.

I absolutely love these lip tints – they’re a very ‘me’ kind of product. They’re juicy and balmy on the lips with a light hint of colour that’s completely perfect, especially if you aren’t a fan of lipsticks. I like light lip coverage (dark, dark eyes, but light on the lips) and I’m very texture driven. If something feels comfortable, slick and moisturising, I’ll wear it forever.

The reason they’re so dewy and comfortable is a blend of oils – olive, avocado, jojoba – alongside vitamins C and E. The tints get deeper with the warmth of your lips so what starts as a barely there wash will turn up the colour volume somewhat. I mainly find they fall to a pinkish tone no matter what they start as but it’s pretty enough and the feel is delicious.

In the swatch, from bottom to top: Bare Blackberry, Bare Nude and Bare Raspberry. They’re £25.50 each so they fall into treat territory, but if you’re dreading the big chill that will certainly come it might feel like more of a necessity. They’re HERE (there’s also a cute set called Hit Reset with £68 of product for £25 and includes a full size MAC Lip Scrubtious in Candied Nectar… see below).

Contents are: Clinique Moisture Surge™ Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate, 7ml, Full-size MAC Lip Scrubtious in Candied Nectar, 15ml, Bobbi Brown Soothing Cleansing Oil, 15ml, Aveda Rosemary and Mint Hand and Body Wash, 50ml, Bumble and bumble Prêt-à-powder Très Invisible, 40ml, Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer Water, 30ml, Glamglow Supercleanse™, 15ml, Estée Lauder Little Black Primer™, 2.8ml and Origins GinZing™ Ultra-Hydrating Energy-Boosting Cream, 5ml HERE.
