Hi, hello, it’s me! I’m still here!
We are in the full swing of summer.
In my yoga classes this week I talked about how summer can leave us feeling frazzled. There is SO much to say YES to. We stay up a little later. We indulge a little bit more. It’s a more extroverted time of year (especially in NYC) and we’re all a bit more ON.
Knowing this every summer I tend to pull back a little from blogging.
I am spending more time outside. I am saying YES to things. An impromptu beach trip (the above photo was taking in the Rockaways last week!). More dinner dates with friends. Rather than writing about my life this is the season for me to focus more on living my life.
I have this tendency to spend every summer living in anxiety that summer is flying by too quickly. We still got at least 2 more months of toasty weather here in NYC and I’m already panicking that I’m not taking full advantage of the season. Does this happen to anyone else?
Right now I’m also focusing a lot of my energy on teaching both at Y7 (hot yoga) and The Bar Method (barre). I love what I do, but teaching 9 classes in 2 days can be draining! It means during my downtime some days I’m sitting like a lump on the couch watching Drag Race or in the park reading. Ain’t no shame in my lump game 🙂
All of this is to say I’m not ditching this blog completely. I promise, it’s still something I love doing so much… and I joke that it’s the longest job I’ve ever held.
