It’s described as ‘ultra-luxe’ (for which I read ‘very expensive’ – which it is) but honestly, it’s a wonderful, emollient, rich cream that’s perfect for dry skin. A lot of the hydration comes from shea butter which is at the top of the ingredient list after water, followed after dimethicone, glycerin and a few others, by jojoba butter. After that, there are more of the ingredients that Rodin is known for – apricot kernel oil, jasmine flower extract, rose fruit oil, cucumber fruit extract, grapeseed oil, olive oil and so on, through to tomato extracts, raspberry leaf and potato pulp extract which I have never seen as a beauty ingredient before.
In use, it feels gorgeously soft, hits skin with cooling and calming instant hydration that’s satisfyingly weighty without being oily and hefty. I can’t say I didn’t love it because I did. Net-a-Porter has it for £88 HERE. Luxury indeed.
