Petite Amie Happy Mask

On the whole, I’m right off wet sheet masks these days since I discovered dry ones. I overall prefer the old style cream masks any way because they seem more effective and given that most wet sheets are such a high percentage of water, you’ll never get the same deep hydration that you do from a cream. However, these (I saw them at the Indi Beauty Expo) just made me laugh straight away. I mean, who wouldn’t want an eye mask in the shape of sunglasses?

Petite Amie Happy Mask

The Happy Face Mask (from Taiwan) looks slightly hysterical when it’s out of the packaging – gone is the cute smile and in comes more of a, well, traumatised face. Anyway, the Petite Amie mask – while first ingredient is still water, does contain some decent ingredients thereafter. Aloe leaf juice, sodium hyaluronate, citric acid and rose extract. It’s not natural by any means but fares better than most and doesn’t contain the usual suspects like alcohol, mineral oils, sulfates or parabens. After I’d got over my yellow face, I left the mask on for a good ten minutes and my skin did feel more perky as a result. It’s just a bit of fun in an otherwise too serious landscape and it’s £7 HERE non affiliate HERE.
