[productsample/affiliates] There was a time where small sizes just didn’t exist. If you were looking to revamp your beauty routine you’d need to splash out on the full sizes and hope for the best, or if you were exceptionally lucky, you might get given a solitary (tiny) sample at counter. Back in the day, brands didn’t really realise the positive impact of sampling so extracting a free smear of cream in a sachet was a miraculous win. These days, brands totally get it that small size wins the prize and while they’re much more generous with sampling, buying small sizes sets such a good way to really get to grips with a brand and know whether you want to commit to the full sizes.

Drunk Elephant The Littles

While I find this set of smalls expensive at £71, it does give a decent overview of the brand and the opportunity to play with products at your leisure. There’s nothing more depressing than an expensive jar of cream or balm that your skin hates and you can’t use glaring at you from the bathroom shelf. It’s the kind of set that I’d take with me on holiday and consider it part of the treat of being away and relaxing.

The bag that the set comes in is better than most although the irony of this being presented as a ‘clean break’ with a notoriously hard-to-recycle PVC bag isn’t lost. Inside the bag is Beste No.9 Jelly Cleanser 30ml, TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum 8ml, C-Firma Day Serum 8ml, B+ Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum 8ml, Virgin Marula Oil 8ml, Protini Polypeptide Cream 15ml, and C-Tango Multi Vitamin Eye Cream 5ml. I know from personal experience that the Glycolic Night Serum is gorgeous, as is the Marula Oil and the B+Hydra Intensive Serum but haven’t yet used the others, although I’m looking forward to the Jelly Cleanser in particular. Anyway, if you like the idea of a dabble without the full-size commitment, it’s HERE, non affiliate HERE.
